Oh, thank you kindly, Pebble! Yeaaaaaaahhh...the higher education system in America is a fucking joke and then some. I don't know if it's like this in your country, but yes, it's not uncommon to spend anywhere from $200 to $700 on books alone.
Like, my boss from when I was a work-study student? When her eldest daughter was taking a trigonometry class, the books (included the access codes, workbook, etc.) all totaled up to about $700.

The other teacher, who I also thought of as my boss (and was one of my mom's teachers when she was in LPN school!), forlornly shook her head and said, "See...that's just like robbery to me."
