Head's Up

Mommy & I bought Black Panther only just yesterday and, as of right now, I have watched it a total of no less than 5 times.

I have neither shame nor excuse-I'm having a black-ass happy week and it's lit.

This may be the night my dreams might let me know all the stars are closer...

All the stars are closer...all the stars are closer...

I bawled my eyes out when Erik died the first time I watched the movie. I knew it was coming because obviously he wasn't the sort of villain that gets left alive, but he was T'Challa's COUSIN and he had a sad story and I wanted a happy ending.

Then next time I was all braced for needing a hanky for Erik dying, and what got me instead was Okoye's declaration of loyalty to the throne. Augh, she is the best. She was all torn up by grief for T'Challa and instead of running off she stayed to do her job, she was so brave and amazing. I cried a lot at that scene.

The second time I watched it with my sister and her very favourite bit was M'Baku. She just loved the big giggly man who laughs at his own jokes.
