Went to Pride Again!
I felt really pretty and really safe. I...still could only feel safe enough to do this incognito while volunteering for my job. But I got there in time to see the parade (dancers! mermaids! bubbles! sparkles! colors!!).
I stayed way longer than last year for my job, too-from about 9:30 to 3pm. It wasn't as hot as it could been and otherwise it was so worth it!!

And here's a Mango Tango ice cream treat I waited a whole year to have again. Good GRACIOUS, it's a special treat with mango, strawberries, and bananas with whipped cream at the top; shaved ice in the middle; and freakin' ice cream that is so delicious as it partially melts on the bottom!!

Happy Pride, everybody!!

What a delicious treat, too. Fruit AND shaved ice AND ice cream! Yes please.

Delicious, refreshing, and also very-not likely to dehydrate me in the hot June sun, haha!
How has your Pride month been, friend? I realize I hadn't caught up with you in a while!

I didn't get to go to the actual pride event this year (between a visiting friend and some other obligations that day) but I sure did walk around downtown while it was happening. What fun that was! People were singing karaoke, out and about in their colors and their flag capes. My little town even hung flags in SUCH wild variety that even I had trouble identifying them all!
I was very pleased to see that the 'progress pride' flag was the mainstay this year. Yes, yes, YES.
Edit to add:
Friend's kid was very vocal about finding the pan flag and got really excited when she did. Friend's kid is 11 whole years old. I have some definite feelings about her and her parents being so open and... well, proud!
It's so different from how people were when my friends and I were that age. Gives me hope, it does.

Sorry you missed out on actual Pride this year, friend, but I'm so glad that you got to see all the zillions of Pride flags in your downtown. I certainly learned new flags, too-I saw the Intersex flag for the first time!
And yes the progress Pride flag was in full swing at mine, too!!
Finding pan flags nowadays for the wiiiiin!!!

And the ice cream was not only delicious, but refreshing! There were a lot of other food vendors of course, selling hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, popcorn, and even pizza! But I always go for that ice cream treat instead bc those other foods have salt (but still delish, I'm sure!!) and adding more salt to your body = harder to stay hydrated.
Verses the fruit, milk in the ice cream, shaved ice, and whipped cream all have liquid components that help hydration. Yep yep!!
