Oh, yes, We Don't Talk About Bruno is a super-interesting song, because of the ways that it betrays the real problem in the family Madrigal - We Don't Talk. Because I have no reason to believe that Abuela Alma didn't treat each of the other family members the same way she treats Mirabel when they try to advance that they are struggling as well. Bruno is the only one who got erased (if incompletely), but by the time that we get to the movie, Mirabel is well on her way to getting erased, perhaps much more effectively and completely than Bruno, because she doesn't have a gift or a presence that sticks around should she disappear.
