That tips over the Status Quo because, instead of a white child (who was Irish at the time, so her characterization spoke to , it is a black child and it speaks so much to conditions today, beyond and before.
It makes people extremely uncomfortable, yes. Of course. But I've always felt that we're supposed to have conversations especially when we're uncomfortable.
