My Cat is So Unfair
Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 02:56 pmLike, seriously.
Now, it's still cute, okay? Because my cat, Dante, is like a baby/young child in that he gets lonely after a while when both me and my mom are asleep. So about half the time, he's waking us up simply because he wants some company, wants to see some movement around the house. The other half is because he's hungry...it's often a combination of the two.
...But why does Dante always have to wake up mom nicely and me meanly? With mom, he'll just jump up on her chest, gently pat her face, give a cute wittle mewl, hell, even nuzzle her. Me? Nope. Nu uh. I'm lucky if I get wake up calls like that. Noooo. He'll jump on my head, claw and bat at my feet, meow and meow and meow like the worst alarm clock in the world, and run laps over me several times. And finally, he'll stand on my chest for several minutes, staring down at me like he's King of the Mountain.
It's only when I get myself up that he might give me nuzzles and cuddles in the morning. Might.
*sniffles* I just want a nice, loving wake up call too, you know? For my cat to love me the same way he loves my mom. Is that too much to ask Dante? Would you even care if you could read this blog post from your loving mother?
Probably not.
And I guess I wouldn't want you any other way anyway. Ugh.
