Remember, Padme's a princess/queen. In order for her to get knocked down a pay-grade, Naboo would have to go through a revolution... either that or Naboo is economically suffering much more than Padme and, if Anakin is more interested in Padme's water temperature, I'm pretty sure everybody is evil.
It's a little like the question of if a tree falls in a forest and there's nobody there to hear it. Well, that means all hearing life forms are gone, which means that the tree falling is the end of a terribly lonely life, and our focus on whether or not, technically speaking, a sound occurred is a monstrous priority set.
