Ya'll know that I fuckin' lurve Spiderman and my love of him was really cemented with the 2002 movie starring Tobey Maguire (my lil self was but 11-years-old at the time and I still have my worn-and-weathered storybooks from the movie).

But this fan art re-imagining the iconic scene from that movie...?

Ya'll.

I have not stopped screeching. And screaming. And jumping. And bouncing. I...I'm just...this is everything and then some. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Ooooh! I saw that yesterday but didn't know the context.

I pretty much like one thing about Peter Parker: the fact that he has money problems and therefore lives in a sort of real world, unlike soooo many other heroes.

Oh, well I guess that's not the only thing I like, just the main one. Like I like when he hangs out with friends... My kids watched Spiderman and his Amazing Friends on Netflix for a while, and that was fun, but Firestar was the best part.

I really like the idea of arachnid-powered superheroes, but not necessarily filtered thru some white boy in New York? IDK...

Yeah, that's what pulled me into Peter Parker, into the Spiderman mythos to begin with, too!!!! He has problems and struggles that are so, so very relatable. But now the new Spidey, Miles Morales who is Afro-Latinx, is much more relatable and socioculturally and politically more relevant today! I recommend reading just about anything about him...so long as the writer isn't "Bendis". Stay away from the name "Bendis", I implore you, friend. >.>

And Spiderman and his Amazing Friends is the shit!!! :D :D :D
