Oh, wow! You got to turn 18 right in an election year, huh? Kewlio beans! Yeah, I was politically engaged before I was old enough to cast a ballot, though I admit that I wasn't exactly woke nor as good at critical thinking as I am today.

And as far as it being relative to someone's 18th birthday and their first election in regards to their interest/engagement, ehh...over here, in America, it really depends on the person. I've heard of and seen people that are in their forties that genuinely don't give a fuck about the elected officials that run this country either way. They hide their lack of fucks behind euphemisms of "Oh, I'm just being neutral; I don't get into politics because it's always too messy" or "I dunno what will happen, but I'm sure the Lord will provide." As you can imagine, it's almost always the people that have privilege pouring out of their asses and then some that don't give a shit and they know, deep down, that they don't give a shit.

It's mind boggling and infuriating but, yeah, there are people like that in America.

And yes-yay for no encountered voter intimidation! (...A lot of things legal over here are illegal over there, I bet. Ya'll got something called "civilization", yeah?)
