Gracious, time be flying fast, huh?! I'm so glad that a new year is dawning, a new year is coming. I myself am equal parts scared, hopeful, determined, and...more hopeful.

Well, yes. But also.

That cartoon is a year old, obviously, but the message carries over. I think 2018 will bring flowers. Why, you ask? Because I am planting flowers.

Or, you know, not planting flowers (I keep killing my potted plants through neglect anyhow), but working magic, reading tarot cards, writing morning pages, connecting with friends, and trying to figure out what the hell the next scene of my novel is supposed to be. And I'd be cooking except I have been cat paralysis for...probably three hours at this point? It's getting ridiculous.

So, you know, hope is a fine thing, a marvelous thing, but along with that hope? Plant flowers.
