I Made a Little SamBucky/WinterFalcon Ficlet Summary!

I did it last night in response to this fanfic ask game, where someone basically asks you to pick 2 tropes to put with a ship from any fandom you're in and describe how you'd combine both of them!

So I got SamBucky from the Captain America fandom with combined tropes of restaurant/bar and bookshop. I came up with this:

How about Sam is the bright, comely owner of a bookshop across the street from a popular sports bar owned by a multiple-tattoo-wearing, ponytail-having, talented bartender named Bucky.

One day, the music in Bucky’s sports bar is a tad too loud for Sam’s patrons…so Sam walks across the street to ask Bucky to tone it down. Bucky is so awestruck and already in love that he offers not only to turn the music down…

…But to turn it to whatever Sam would like to listen to while he mixes Sam a seasonal drink special on the house.

It's here on my Tumblr where I first answered it! Ahh...that was a good warmup for my SamBucky BigBang fic (tho it'll have a totally different setting & plot).

That's so sweet! I bet Sam's bookshop is just the nicest ever. Not one of the dark nooky mazelike ones (nice as they are) but a bright one with murals on the walls and a really good kids' book corner.

Thanks oh-so much, friend!! And that is absolutely the way Sam's bookshop is!!! There are wonderful murals of famous black folk & other POC. The kids' book corner is the warmest, coziest part of the shop.

... you know, I hadn't put any thought into the subjects of the murals, but YES. In beautiful bright colours, and painted by some local artist Sam knows. (Not Steve for this job.)

No, I lie. I had vaguely pictured a mural with a lot of sky and birds flying, and I didn't realise until now that OF COURSE Sam likes to decorate with a bit of a bird theme.

A local black artist that's really, really good at wall art like that...maybe instigate an alternate universe crossover and by doing so, have a kid named Miles Morales come and make the art! :P

And that mural of lots of sky and flying birds would absolutely</i be painted my Miles!!
