Week Went Well!
Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 02:11 pmTrigger Warnings: Mentions of grades & tests, job hunting, house cleaning
I got an 89 on my Algebra midterm! Woooooooooo!!
And I have to say it, OMFG. Like, my math teacher is so, so attractive. It's an online class, so I'd never seen him beforehand, but OMFG. He smells like white men that wash their asses. When that white man came into the room, I smelled him before I saw him. Do you guys know what that white man smelled like? Combine some antibacterial Dial Gold Bar with the most generic, basic original Jergens lotion you can think of and that's what he smelled like.
Holy shit.
And I bet he seasons the chicken too. Yep. He seasons the chicken, right after he grades our papers. -fans self-
The house is clean! I haven't even started on my Principles of Management project yet (it's not due 'till April, but still), I can be the Countess of Procrastination every now and then.
Job hunt went pretty well, too! My sister took me to drop off my resumé at a ton of places. No calls yet, but I'm feeling pretty hopeful. Especially since a lot of the MAs at the front desk were black women, holy shit, that's a great comfort.
Also, the Migraine Wars have started full-force once again, hence why this post is late and, unfortunately, neither an ATLA nor Gargoyles post.
Otherwise, what's gone on with you guys? Anything new? Any new recipes to threaten each other with? ATLA thoughts? Open thread below!

Date: 2015-03-24 08:15 pm (UTC)I'm given to understand that low light and low volume are important for the combating of migraines, but otherwise, just good luck with that.

Date: 2015-03-24 08:21 pm (UTC)And thank you. Low light & low volume are ABSOLUTE keys. I remember being younger, when I first got migraines, that I would FREAK when all the sudden everything sounded so, so loud and regular fluorescent lights felt like burning the sun into my eyes. Eek.

Date: 2015-03-25 02:50 am (UTC)Your post re: seasoning chicken has led me to try two new methods of seasoning chicken, for contrariness' sake (and also, well-seasoned chicken, which is probably my favorite meat.)
First, we have Chinese-style chicken meatballs, which get seasoned with onion, ginger, scallion, and pepper, and which smell and taste like my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city I went to school in.
Second, we have bacon chicken, which is quite simply chicken with salt, pepper, and a strip of bacon on it. NOM.
