Happy Blackout Day Again!
Sunday, June 21st, 2015 11:21 amIt's June 21st, the next day of Blackout Day, oh glory be! So much beautiful melanin created and blessed by the Melanin Goddesses! :D :D :D :D
Unfortunately, once again I don't have any new selfies for you all. Sorry! But! Here are my old ones, recycled once again:
Here's me smiling at you!

And here's me giving epic side eye, thinking about Zuko. Hehe!

Pop on over to Tumblr and check out all the gorgeous Melanin there is! Here's one black blog that I follow that I follow that complies a whole bunch of selfies voluntarily submitted! Enjoy!
And please do not hesitate to send in your selfies in the comments if you like! We must continue to spread and love the melanin on this fine day! Again, enjoy and have fun!
#HappyBlackOutDay! :D :D :D

Date: 2015-06-25 08:18 pm (UTC)You, my friend, have been saved. Yes, you have been saved.
(In all seriousness: My mama taught me to put just a dash of meat tenderizer or seasoned salt in the flour when you're about to do chicken tenders. YUM.)

Date: 2015-06-28 05:38 pm (UTC)Uh oh! Why won't the batter stick? Have you tried adding an egg (or two, depending on the size of your batter) to the mix? D:

Date: 2015-06-28 07:34 pm (UTC)That's different from what we deal with. Around here, we just get regular all-purpose flour, put it in a freezer bag, and put some seasoning (again, that meat tenderizer or seasoned salt) in it. And then, after we thaw our meat by letting it sit in water for a while and then rinsing it off, we just let the water act as the adhesive. :O
