More Hamilton!
Monday, February 15th, 2016 09:37 amYa’ll, I am such Hamilton Trash, I swear. Mommy was at work last night and she found this for me glorious CNN articleon the play! Gah, I’ve been squealing about it! All the publicity and love for Hamilton as possible, please and thank you, world! :D
Here’s Lin-Manuel Miranda singing-wait for it-The Little Mermaid songs with Alan Menken for the digital #Ham4Ham show! SQUEEE!!!
Also, did you need the dorky, wonderful, gorgeous Okieriete Onaodowan singing “Defying Gravity” as Mickey Mouse for one of the #Ham4Ham shows (before they had to go digital) in your life? The answer is yes, yes you do need it and so here it is! I have watched this video and automatically become a better person because of it, I swear.
And last, but most certainly not least? Here is Christopher Jackson as George Washington singing “The Story of Tonight” with Elmo from Sesame Street! Do you know how much I love Elmo? Do you know how much I love Sesame Street in general? Holy fucking shit, I love this video especially.
From that, video, too? “Raise a glass of what?”
“Apple juice!”
Apple juice.
Nyahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!!
…By the way, can you tell that I just created a Hamilton tag for all the Hamilton shit I talk about? Imma tell ya’ll again: this is out of control. I am out of control. But I can’t stop because I’m Hamilton Trash.
Dear god in heaven, I can’t stop. @__@

Date: 2016-02-16 11:15 pm (UTC)I remember Lin always saying in interviews and whatnot that, for him when he was growing up, being able to go to Broadway was a "special occasion/treat" because they didn't have much money for tickets in the first place. And that's also how and why cast albums became so very precious to him and, thus, why he & the rest of the Hamilton cast took such great pains to create and make available the cast album (which Mommy blasts through the car whenever we're out and about! Heeee!)
But nowadays, a regular family like Lin's can't afford to go to Broadway ever because they've upped the price of tickets so, so much. That's true even if said family already lives in New York and, thus, probably doesn't have to worry about a hotel, food, transportation, etc.
