The Tale of Tapioca Pudding
Friday, March 18th, 2016 01:20 am-ahem- It is vital information for you all to know that your Amarie was gifted tapioca pudding for the first time in her life, courtesy of her mother.
Yes, a few days ago was my first-ever personal encounter with tapioca pudding! I have to say that it is delightfully delicious! It also has a fascinating texture that I'd never encountered before in other pudding and, well...here's the conversation with my mommy on that one:
Mommy: Amarie, are you enjoying your tapioca pudding? If you are, I'll get you some more next time I go to the store.
Me: Oh, yes, Mommy! Thanks! It's pretty yummy and it has these cute little bubble things in it, too!
Mommy: -not even shocked at her daughter by this point- Oh, honey, that's the tapioca itself. :D
Me: -would look into the camera like I'm one The Office, but...-
...Your Amarie is one of a kind, dears. Just one of a kind.

Fun fact: boba milk tea? The chewy brown beads in the bottom are also tapioca. :D That stuff is amazing.

Date: 2016-03-18 03:30 pm (UTC)WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME.
(Jefferson is perfect and cracks me directly up and Washington is WHAT EVEN IS THIS FEELING and poor Hamilton and IDK whether to feel sorry for Burr or be really furious with him and poor Eliza, and the way they keep doing Angelica's name and WHAT.)

Date: 2016-03-19 12:20 am (UTC)And YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS, Red! Get into that Hamilton groove! Get into that Hamilton trash! Yaaaaaaaaaasss! I have helped to convert you! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :D :D :D :D
Washington is like the single suburban dad in charge of all these fightin' chil'in. He especially gets premature grey hair from his kids Hamilton and Jefferson fighting, LOL! Washington is SO like, "WHAT EVEN IS THIS FEELING?!" Yas!
Jefferson...there was no better person to play that asshole, hypocritical rapist villain than Daveed Diggs. So, so frickin' awesome!!!
Burr...honestly, personally? I've never been furious with Burr. Probably because I see him so, so, so much as the foil he is to Hamilton and he's just so well-written and played. But yes, most definitely being furious with him I can get. Po' thang done shot Hamilton at the end.
And as for poor Eliza? I, umm...all I can say is that if I was her, I woulda killed Hamilton long, long before the fucking Reynolds Pamphlet. Is that boy out of his mind-talking about writing 51 of the Federalist Papers when we got 8 fucking kids. I know I ain't the only one changing these diapers...
And Angelicaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! :D :D :D

Date: 2016-03-21 08:42 pm (UTC)Ahaha, yes. Washington would like everyone to just chill out, please. (I'm with him. Last week was A Week and it would've gone so much smoother if people would take a walk and quit bickering.)
Oh my gosh yes - Jefferson was a horrible person, no doubt about it. But his line near the end, something like - "well we can change that. Because I'm the President!" I keep picturing him making a smarmy little blow-a-kiss gesture and it just cracks me right up. And Daveed Diggs has an amazing voice with soooo much expressive flexibility!
XD I definitely see where you're coming from! Didn't even think of Eliza trying to do everything herself - honestly I assumed she must have /some/ kind of help, even if Hamilton wasn't it. Friends - or family, where's Peggy after her one song - or maybe she hired someone?

YES, Daveed Diggs is bae and perfect for Jefferson, nyahahahahahha!
And as far as Eliza doing everything herself? Well, I understand that she and Hamilton had money-money, so I imagine that they could afford nannies, wet nurses, etc. Plus, it's real, historical canon that Hamilton would take the older babies with him whenever he had to go away for a meeting, Congress, court, etc. And the guy was apparently maternal as hell and loved kids, so surely he did his part.
...I still woulda killed him, doe.
