Sleep is better in the long run, I sez. Hopefully next quarter is lighter on the late-nights. No sense killing yourself early - it's best to wait until a thesis to do that. (I kid, I kid. It's not okay at any point to physically hurt yourself, even through exhaustion.)

Uh-huh. Work a little too hard. Let's make sure that you end up somewhere that believes in a sane amount of working hours per shift.

Also, it seems like you have found the Jobs, Jobs, JAbortion agenda from the conservative movement. Soon enough, the Ministry of Truth will be here to make sure that you see that as the GOP Jobs Plan.

Also, Politifact is not always the best source on the truth or truthiness of things - they don't always get the severity right.

Too true! I was just thinking about that, actually. They do get to the truth of abortion/birth control coverage (issues that, as you can imagine, matter to me very much). But they rarely get into the true stories of women that genuinely suffer under this anti-feminism every damned day.

Or, is that what you mean, Silver?

I know, I know...but, so far, Politifact is my only haven. Seriously. I get about 97% of my news from there. But what else would you recommend?

*will throw a Build-A-Bear at your head if you suggest Fox News*

If you're okay with unabashedly liberal points of view, I can recommend The MaddowBlog and Talking Points Memo as good sources for news stories, often of the variety that are not being covered by the regular press corps. If you just need regular news stuff, Google News does aggregate well, but it bubbles you into only showing your own points of view after a while. You can probably best some of that by checking in with the BBC and al-Jazeera, which has the additional benefit of providing some international perspective on the silly games of the United States.
