My mother was the one to check the mailbox today and she gave this to me as soon as I rolled over and woke up this morning-that-was-almost-afternoon. It...it was a wonderful surprise after waking up from a pretty good dream where I was a nurse teaching a student.

Date: 2019-10-11 06:15 pm (UTC)I remember one of my anxieties when I was a preteen was: what in the world is it going to feel like when I'm adult and I'm not growing anymore? As a child, I was so used to growing that the thought of stopping literally terrified me for a while.
As an adult now, I know that...it's alright and perfectly normal and preferable to stop growing after a while, haha! I'm comfy with my height (I'm about 5"6) and I wish I could go back and let my kid!self know that there's so, so much more to her than getting praise for how much she's grown in the last year. ^ ^
That was a bit of a tangent, but...yeah, those are my thoughts on that. ^ ^
